Re: The AltFL Season 2022

Man, what a final weekend of football. So much came down to the wire, including the Steelheads-Grizzlies game, where a last-minute game-saving tackle by DB Jalen Thompson sealed a thrilling win for the visitors. That said, the real star of the game was DL Christian Wilkins, who I don't know how I haven't featured on a graphic yet, but he certainly earned this one with a sack and nine total tackles. As a result, we've taken down the Grizzlies for the first time in modern AltFL history, and we've claimed the 2 seed, giving us home-field advantage until the Alt Bowl. Of course, last season, we authored the first 2-7 upset in modern AltFL history, but now, the 2 is on the other foot, as we'll try to avoid suffering the same fate at the hands of the Boston Nightriders. Night has fallen on the regular season, which might give Boston the advantage, but the lights always shine brightest come playoff time. #NervesOfSteel #BOSvsSEA

Re: The AltFL Season 2022

For the second year in a row, the Steelheads are moving onto the AltFL Semifinals. We took down Boston pretty handily, getting revenge for a loss earlier in the season. In fact, we have a chance at getting revenge for all three of our losses from this year, as we take on the Bolts this week, and if we win, the Emperors are favorites to meet us in the AltBowl. That said, we're focused on taking care of business this week, as Buffalo isn't an easy team to beat. Hopefully, we can continue to rely on TE Darren Waller, who made his long-awaited return this week and caught a big touchdown from Derek Carr. Will Seattle continue their revenge tour? Or will lightning strike twice? You'll have to tune in to find out. #NervesOfSteel #BUFvsSEA

Re: The AltFL Season 2022

Well, that was certainly something the Emperors did. First playoff win of the modern era? Check. A playoff win at home, the bane of our legacy team? Check. Now, YOUR New York Emperors are preparing to host the Utah Raptors. We're getting the one and only Gardner Minshew ready in case starter Jalen Hurts isn't ready to go, but the Raptors may be without their quarterback too, so let's have a game! We're wearing the standard home uniforms for this one, gray helmets, yellow jerseys, and gray pants, shown off here by 2022 AltFL Rookie of the Year, defensive back Jalen Pitre!

Re: The AltFL Season 2022

Two weeks ago we got our first playoff win of the modern era. Last week we got our second, and now we look to bring a championship to New York City. We're off to Arizona (?) for the Alt Bowl where we're going to meet up with the Steelheads. We're looking to keep things rolling, and are keeping a close eye on star quarterback Jalen Hurts' shoulder. If he can go, he'll be out there. If he can't, undefeated AltFL starter Gardner Minshew is ready for another go. We're the designated home team in this one, so we're wearing the standard gray helmets, yellow jerseys, and gray pants. We're showing them off with not one, but 4 players. These four men have been with the Emperors for every game of the modern era, so we're letting them show it off here. They are: kicker Tyler Bass, wide receiver A.J. Brown, tight end Tingle Jingle Hockenson, and running back Christian McCaffrey. #EmperorStateOfMind

Re: The AltFL Season 2022

Well, after falling just one point short of the AltBowl in 2021, the Seattle Steelheads ran it right back and avenged our loss from last season. Speaking of avenging losses, we're continuing our AltFL East revenge tour, as we now get a chance to face off against the third of the three teams we lost to in the regular season. Not only that, we're giving the ball to Emperor legend QB Mac Jones to try and defeat the team that drafted him and then traded him away. That said, our strength has certainly been our defense, as we've allowed the fewest points per game during the postseason, but the Emperors have scored the most points by a considerable margin. Will New York's high-flying offense keep rolling? Or will Seattle's defense hold strong? Either way, a new AltFL champion will be crowned in just a few days. Let's do it! #NervesOfSteel #SEAvsNY #AltBowlXXIII

Re: The AltFL Season 2022

I'd like to start off by wishing for the continued recovery for Damar Hamlin.

Secondly, to the Seattle Steelheads, I know that this wasn't how we wanted this week to go, but it wouldn't be a Dan O'Mac-IDM championship game without something weird happening.

Finally, to every player that has worn an Emperors uniform, thank you for getting this team to where it was this year, in the championship game and hoisting the AltFL Championship.

Re: The AltFL Season 2022

Congrats, Dan! New York was the top team nearly all season and they were well-deserving of the crown. Props to Seattle as well, they've turned around nicely since IDM took over. Of course next year, the Reapers plan on taking the throne!
