It's time for playoff football, and YOUR New York Emperors are heading on the road to Chicago. And let's be honest, based on their playoff experiences over the last 20 years or so, playing at home in the playoffs has been notoriously bad for the Emperors, so this may be for the best! The Central Division Champion Cyclones are not to be overlooked, but we're going to expand the Empire to claim the Second City wearing our standard road set, gray helmets, white jerseys, gray pants. Showing them off this week is All-Division member and Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee, Wide Receiver Mike Evans!

Postseason football has arrived in Chicago, and so have our opponents in the New York Emperors. The First City against the Second City. Two of the best teams in the league. I can already hear the media executives drooling over this matchup. This looks to be a fairly close matchup, and we're looking to go further into the postseason with this game. All-Central DIvision member DB Jayron Kearse will lead the Cyclones onto the field this Sunday wearing our classic home set of white helmets, red jerseys, and tan pants.

Playoffs baby! The Steelheads couldn't forge a comeback to win the division, so we're back on the road. In fact, we're traveling further than we've traveled before this season, as we head to the Sunshine State to take on the Galactics. Apparently, we're the biggest underdogs in the postseason by whatever magic numbers Jam's computer spits out at him, but we're not gonna let that faze us. Whatever happens, though, I think this game wins best uniform matchup, at least in my opinion. #SteelandTeal #HeadsUp #SEAvsORL

Off to the playoffs baby! We have fought through lots this season and come through with a 13-1 record and took the South Division crown, however, we still have lots of work to do. We have blasted off into the playoffs and we will be taking on....a fish? Don't know how this battle actually works, heck what even is a Galactic? Okay, refocus. We may be favoured in this game, it doesn't mean it will be an easy matchup. The Steelheads are a strong team and will not take them lightly. We also agree without opponents that this uni-matchup is a gorgeous one. We will keep going with the classic purple-on-orange look to take on the white and silver. Let's bring it Orlando. Get Loud! #ORLvsSEA #startthecountdown #GoGalactics #AltFLPlayoffs

It is time for the final four. Last year the AltBowl featured two North Division teams. This year two new divisions will be represented. In this Final Four we have Tennessee and Portland returning for the second year in a row. They fell short in this round but are hungry to get to the big stage. Chicago and Seattle join the elite with their sights set on the ultimate prize.
The first matchup is a titanic clash of the Pacific Northwest. Portland and Seattle will battle it out for a bid to Alt Bowl XXI. Portland has been to 9 final fours. This is their fourth straight appearance for the Green and Gold. For Seattle, this is their fourth appearance. Portland disposed of the Bandits in round one while Seattle went on the road to beat the Galactics.
Tennessee heads to Chicago for this Final Four matchup. Tennessee is headed to the final four for the eighth time. The Cyclones are back in the Final Four for the fourth time.
Oddly enough each of these final four teams have been in a final four within the last three seasons.
Who do you have this week? Who's headed to Alt Bowl XXII?

It was a solid season for YOUR New York Emperors. Injuries mounted and we weren't quite able to overcome them to move on. Congrats to the Cyclones on the hard fought win, and good luck to all four remaining teams. This week, the Emperors are donning a new look for the season, just a touch more casual than normal, modeled by team owner, Dan O'Mac.

At least stride is being taken.
