Baltimore fans came to Memorial Stadium expecting a coronation of their new team. Jolly ol' England was the site of the World League's biggest stage for 1991. Amsterdam led the European Division for much of the regular season, only to stumble rather slightly in the second half of the season. Eventually, the London Monarchs would catch up to Amsterdam in the standings. Both Amsterdam and London would get into the playoffs, with both playing on the road. Amsterdam easily disposed of the Baltimore Stallions at Memorial Stadium.
The Los Angeles Avengers dominated the North American West for the entire season. Thanks to former Raider Marcus Allen's performance in an Avenger uniform, attendance at the Coliseum exceeded World League expectations. Across town, the Lakers advanced to The NBA Finals, where they would meet the Chicago Bulls. And it couldn't have worked out better for TV viewers in the LA market, with the World Bowl airing on Fox in the morning and NBC airing Game 4 of the NBA Finals later that afternoon.
The 1991 World Bowl would provide plenty of fireworks, both in pregame festivities and on from both offenses on the field. Amsterdam quarterback Chris Chandler led the Admirals' aerial attack, while the Allen brothers continued their onslaught for LA.
KEVIN HARLAN: "On second and ten, Damon Allen will hand off to big brother Marcus on the draw...THIRTY-FIVE...FORTY...MIDFIELD...FORTY...THIRTY...TWENTY...TEN...FIVE...TOUCHDOWN MARCUS ALLEN!!! OH BABY, WHAT A RUN!!!"

Any plans to expand further either to 16 or adding another team in the East to even everything out?

An expansion to sixteen teams is indeed in the cards, but I might end up just adding Ohio and Scotland.

1991-92 Offseason headlines
After winning the 1991 World Bowl, Avengers running back Marcus Allen garnered enough interest from NFL coaches and general managers for a shot at a comeback. One such coach, Cleveland's Bill Belichick, pulled the trigger on a 4 year deal to bring Allen to the Browns.
Citing disputes over beer sales, the San Antonio Riders will shift from Alamo Stadium to Bobcat Stadium on the campus of Southwest Texas State for the 1992 season. The Alamodome is still on schedule to open for 1993.
Falcons rookie quarterback Brett Favre has been allocated to the WLAF after a bitter feud with head coach Jerry Glanville. Mexico City, Orlando, Barcelona and Portland have each expressed interest in Favre.
The Browns, Chargers, Raiders, Rams, Buccaneers and Eagles have each expressed interest in signing Phantoms kick returner George LaFrance.
Amsterdam Admirals quarterback Chris Chandler has attracted interest from the Bengals, Packers, Falcons, Jets, Buccaneers, Chargers, Seahawks and Rams.
Denver Broncos rookie backup quarterback Tommy Maddox, a first round pick out of UCLA, has been allocated to the WLAF. Among the teams interested in Maddox are the Dragons, Platypodes, Huskies, Thunder, Galaxy and Riders.
Miami Dolphins backup quarterback Scott Mitchell has been allocated to the WLAF, with Orlando, Barcelona, Portland, Paris, San Antonio and Mexico City interested in his services.

They might have a chance when I expand again for 1993.
Then again, I have Edinburgh and Dusseldorf in the running for expansion too.
