Riel University honours the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation by wearing orange, we encourage all of our fans attending this week's game against Yellowstone to wear orange shirts. On the field, we hope to get back above .500 as we take on Yellowstone. RB Dakereon Joyner is our featured player, who has been pretty solid so far and hope he can have some fireworks this week. #theRIELdeal #RIELvsYS #OrangeShirtDay

It was a tough loss last week against the Vulcans, but the Galactics hope to rebound against the Steelheads. WR Christian Kirk has had a slow start to the season, but he grabbed his first touchdown of the season last week and we hope he continues to improve. The uniform combo we are rolling with is a purple helmet, with a white jersey and purple pants, with a touch of orange in the socks. #ORLvsSEA2023 #startthecountdown #preparefortakeoff #GoGalactics

QB Gene Bishop returned to the lineup for Montreal’s 4th game of the season, marking the 4th consecutive game with a different starting QB than the previous week for the team. Led by RB Bo Frazier, who was named the starting back for the first time this season, the offence had a solid first half putting up 17 points. The defence had their way with the Mariners as well, pitching a shutout in the first half.
1971 1st overall pick, QB Todd Sparrow, made his first career start with the injury to QB Lyle Painter. Sparrow faced the tough Rouge defence and did not come out looking great in the first half, having a couple of interceptions to DB Jean Paul du Pont. The team was able to pull it together a bit in the 2nd half, with S

Back-to-back home wins has brought the Rebels' record to 2-1 on the season. Now, we head down to the south to take on UNF. WR Xavier Worthy has been making an impact in the offence this season and will likely continue that into this week as he models our classic road uniforms along with his new jersey number, #1. #TheRIELDeal #RIELvsUNF #Rebels2023

The Galactics looked much better in our second game of the season and we are starting 2-0 (much like most of the South Division). However, once again tragedy has struck the ankles of Saquon Barkley, so we will be without a superstar RB. Luckily, we have some solid depth with RB Najee Harris, and breakout star RB James Cook. Cook has been cooking to start the year and had a big part in last week's win. Cook is getting the start this week, so we are featuring him in this week's graphic. We return home to put our 2-0 record on the line against the also 2-0 Birmingham Vulcans. We are going classic with our uniforms this week, breaking out the purple helmets for the first time and pairing them up with purple jersey and socks and some orange pants. At least we will look good as we take on the Vulcans in another South Division clash. #GoGalctics #startthecountdown #prepareforliftoff #ORLvsBIR2023 #SouthDivisionBattle

If London is 2-1, why are they so low on the rankings list?
Yes, they are 2-1, but the teams they beat were Calgary and Edmonton, both of which are lower than them in the rankings, (ie, those are teams they should beat), while they lost to Providence (a team they should lose to). As far as my opinion goes (which the rankings are based on how I feel about the teams because a formula has been too complicated to really consider), London hasn't beaten anyone that warrants them moving higher, just like a team like Boston who is still a top 10 team despite a 1-2 record, but they have lost to a pair of other top 10 teams in Long Island and Vancouver, both by 3 points. London is in a position to move up since a 3-point loss to the Gold Stars is an impressive performance, but they still need to prove a little more and hope some teams ahead of them start to slip as well.
I hope that clarifies things!

The Rebels brought home the big win on home field in the Canadian battle with St. Laurent. This week, we welcome the Stingers from the Queen City (well one of them anyway). After a monster game last week, RB Nate Noel is featured on this week's graphic. We will be sporting our classic red-over-white combo to take on the Stingers. #TheRIELDeal #Rebels2023 #RIELvsQCS

The Galactics escaped the home opener with a narrow win over the Boston Nightriders. Now, we head across the country to the desert to take on the newest member of the South Division, the Arizona Scorpions. DL Danielle Hunter was a key factor in last week's game so he's ready to shine on the graphic this week. As we head into the heat of the desert the Galactics will be repping a mostly white look this week with purple socks being the only coloured element.
