New Orleans Zydeco: I just like the word zydeco. Kinda harkens back to the Jazz, too.

Washington Judges: Normally, judges preside over a different kind of court, but I think the judicial branch deserves more love in the sports world.

Vancouver Cannons: Named for the 9 O'Clock Gun.

Atlanta Beat: A different spin (get it?) on the hip hop idea. It's not quite Records, but, y'know.

Los Angeles Pobladores: The original settlers of the pueblo that went on to become LA.

Charlotte Fortunes: Pulled this name from the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence. Look it up if you want, or just let QCS tell you about it.

New Orleans Gators - because there alligators in those bayous
Vancouver Orcas - Because there's Orca whales in the ocean there
Los Angeles Mammoths - Found in the La Brea Tar Pits, which are located in the city
Washington Commanders - The POTUS lives in Washington, the Commander-in-Chief. The Pentagon is in Washington, where the military commanders would be.
Atlanta Red Wolves - Located all around the area, they went nearly extinct but are making a comeback.
Charlotte Pirates - because on the coastal area of North Carolina there were pirates, and Charlotte's in North Carolina (love you QCS!)

New Orleans Dukes: Reference to the duke of Orléans, whom the city is named after
Vancouver 3's: Represents the third most populous city in Canada and 3-point shots
Los Angeles Legends: reference to the legends that have played for LA like Kobe and Magic
Washington Americans: Cliché but kinda cool
Atlanta Olympians: Reference to the 1996 Olympics
Charlotte Scots: The flag of the city kinda looks like the Scottish one

LA Action - Lights! Camera! Action!...duh
Charlotte Highlanders - Dual Meaning: Scottish influence in Charlotte, on high land (I got this information from QCS, don't know how reliable of a source this is, but it is once again also cool)
Vancouver Thunderbirds - Cool mascot
Washington Stars - Simple but it's a classic 'merica
Atlanta Trojans - Greek Things

Charlotte Queensmen - Another unoriginal Queen City nickname
Los Angeles Props of Anaheim - Plane Props and Movie Props meet the Los Angeles Angels
New Orleans Neon - Neon is such a NEw OrleaNs thing
Vancouver Green Sox - For the Greenest City initiative and the bithplace of Greenpeace meet the Sox
Washington Purples - Red + Blue = Purple

To the best of my knowledge, I have never interacted with anyone else that I know is from the Carolinas.
