Atlético couldn't find a way to send our fans home happy before we head back on the road, falling to Joburg City 94 and staying pointless on the year. We'll try to change that as we hop over to Italy to face off against FC Alfa Roma. The clash kits are coming back for this match, but we're featuring the only person on our roster who won't be wearing one. Though he doesn't have a win on the season, G Đorđe Petrović has done an admirable job keeping us in games. Against the Lions, he made one save, two clearances, and succeeded on a high claim. #KeepClimbing

Hey, guess what? AltLiga is back after a weekend off! Unfortunately, Atlético is still looking for their first points this season, but fortunately, so are our opponents. Olympique de Bastille is one spot above us in the table, and has similarly failed to score goals and win games, so maybe we have a chance in this one. Who knows? Maybe we could even both get a point this week if we draw. This week's graphic features D Marcos Senesi, who was busy on both ends of the pitch against Roma, picking up 8 clearances, 4 interceptions, and an assist. #KeepClimbing

We surely needed a break, as Munich handed us a fairly brutal loss to put us back in the bottom of the table. We'll have a chance to rebound back at home against Alfa Roma, who earned their first win over Atletico the last time they took the pitch. There's some changes to the starting 11, including M Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall earning another week in the starting lineup after essentially being our only offense last match. Dewsbury-Hall scored once and added an assist on one shot and created three chances.

Well, that was bad. Atlético came back after a week off and put up our worst performance of the season. We're now the last remaining team without a point, but you know what that means? There's nowhere to go but up. We've revamped our starting lineup to try and induce some juice into this team, and its first test will be against another team near us at the bottom of the table. CRI is sitting on just three points, and have the lowest offensive output of any team in AltLiga, so this is a good opportunity for us to turn our season around. One player staying in our lineup is M Ryan Gravenberch, who was by far our most effective player against Olympique, finishing with 4 key passes, 3 contests succeeded, and 2 aerials won. #KeepClimbing

It was a poor offensive showing for both sides, but we edged ahead of Roma to climb back to the exact middle of the table. We'll have a chance to build on the win as we travel to Paris to take on Bastille, who earned their first points on the year with a win over Atlético. Both of us are trying to rebound on rough starts to the year, so a change of the lineup was needed for us to get the points we need. Featured for this week is GK Gianluigi Donnarumma, as the newly-acquired transfer made two saves and kept a clean sheet in his debut for the club.

What a way to win your first game! Atlético went into São Paulo and put a crooked number on the home side, picking up their first points of the season in splendid fashion. 😉 We head back home with a little bit of wind in our sails, and on the docket is another team from the Americas: CF Federal. Los Quetzales have likewise had a rough go of things so far, so we'll see if we can ride our momentum to another win. We're rolling out almost the same lineup as last week (save star forward Hugo Ekitike, who somehow managed to get a suspension in the middle of the week), and at the center of it all is M Adam Wharton. The 21-year-old re-signed with the club this offseason and has been an integral piece thus far; against Independencia, he assisted on a goal by last week's feature, Ryan Gravenberch. #KeepClimbing

Bastille's offense never got going, and we picked up a road win to now sit only a few points outside the top spot. Granted, it will take a lot to get there but it's a start. We return back to the Calabash to welcome the splendid Independencia, who have had a rough start to the year and an even rougher loss to Atlético last week. We've made a few changes to the lineup, but our defense remains strong, which includes featured player D Dan Burn. Burn earned 11 clearances, 1 tackle won, an interception, and kept a clean sheet in the last match.

Don't look now, but Atlético is on a winning streak! Not only that, but both wins have come by fairly convincing margins. It certainly looks like things are turning in the right direction, but we have a tougher test coming up this weekend, as the reigning champions come to town. Amsterdam KVV have also stumbled out of the gate, with just one win on the year, but you certainly can't take them lightly after what they did last season. This week's feature goes to a relative newcomer, D Omar Alderete, who will be making just his third start for us. The Paraguayan headed in a goal last against Federal, and was also busy on the defensive end, amassing nine clearances on his way to a clean sheet. #KeepClimbing

After a relatively poor start, the Golden Lions of Joburg are now just 6 points away from the top spot. Half the league is also 6 points away from the top spot, so the next few weeks will see who will break away and who will stay in contention. We hit the road again, heading to Mexico to take on Federal. They've had some trouble in the short time they've been in the top flight, though a game in their favor could change that. Featured for this week is F Jaidon Anthony, who performed well off the bench before getting a starting role last week, scoring a goal on one shot drawing two corners.

Atlético couldn't stretch their winning streak to three against the reigning champs, as we just couldn't get much going in front of our home crowd. Now, after a quick break, we must leave Barcelona behind yet again, as we head all the way out to Korea to face Bukchon Hanok Stripes. Stripes are off to a solid start to the year once again, and are coming off a thrilling victory over previously-undefeated Sydney Harbour. They'll be hungry to keep that momentum up, so we need to bring out the big guns. We lead with M Harry Wilson, who had what I'm calling a full byte statline, with a 1 in eight different categories, including shots on target, key passes, and tackles won. #KeepClimbing
